Pursuing God and his kingdom
Welcome to our Web site. At Cairns Road you will find lots of ordinary people of all ages. We hope it is a place where you can be yourself, make good friendships, and enjoy food together! We are passionate about God! We hope that our lives reflect worship of him through the week, and our longing is to know and experience his presence when we get together. We aim to keep his word, the Bible, as the source of inspiration for all we do. Cairns Road Baptist Church is rooted in the local community, seeking to serve creatively with Jesus' love. We pray for our lives to be transformed by the Holy Spirit and we involve ourselves in issues of social justice and campaigning for the oppressed. We partnership with others to grow churches in Bristol's less churched urban areas. We are committed to intentional discipleship for people of all ages (including children) because we believe that ministry belongs to the whole body. We aim to affirm, train and release all into the work God is calling them to. We are also committed to kingdom work overseas through friendship, prayer, practical service and partnerships.
