SUMMER 2022

Come along to Cairns Road this summer & join in with fun holiday activities. As a family celebrate summer through the senses with our one off activity days, we will have light refreshments available, too. Designed for families of preschool & primary aged children. Please book for each event if you are able as this will help us ensure we have enough supplies. All activities are designed for children to come to with an accompanying adult who will be responsible for them for the duration. There are small charges to help cover costs (payable on the day via cash or card) but if this is difficult for you, we don't want to that to stop you attending - please speak to Ruth on the day or email on community@cairnsroad.org

Drop in to the first of our summer activity days. Exploring our sense of touch...You will have the chance to help make part of our community art installation for the Beecons of Hope trail later in the month. Running from 11am -2pm drop in for as long as you like, as well as making there will be simple refreshments including drinks, cakes and ice lollies! £1 for the craft and small charge for refreshments. You can drop in at any time between 11&2pm, to ensure we have enough supplies you can book here

Come along to our music workshop to explore sound! We will be making musical instruments from everyday items, time for a snack (or an ice lolly!) and ending with a noise party - trying out our instruments and having a sing along! Please book here There is a small charge to cover cost of craft materials and pay for snacks and drinks. £3 a child, £2 an adult (payable on arrival) 

Drop in for breakfast on Saturday 13th August between 9:30 & 11am.  £3 per adult for a drink and sausage sandwich (veggie option available) £1 for children under 11. They will then have the chance to explore the sense of smell and do a little growing project to take home. Booking here will give us an idea of numbers. 

Exploring taste, book in to our morning baking session as Ruth will lead you and your child through making something together. There will then be chance for everyone to have a snack and chat and sample a bake premade my Ruth. You will then be able to take your bake home and share with the family. £3 per child, £2 per adult (to include ingredients and refreshments, payable on the morning cash or card.) Book here.
