Youth Work

Youth Work at Cairns Road is about journeying with young people, helping them shape their lives and reach their potential whilst making sure everything we do is full of fun! We run a youth Cafe Thursday and Friday nights and many more projects for the young people in and around our local community.

Sunday morning youth is about having lots of fun and getting to know God, His big story and our place in it! So if you want to have fun and learn more about the God of love, Sunday mornings is for you!

During term time

We have two youth groups during the week for all youth to come, relax, meet with friends, play games and the opportunity to make craft or cook most weeks. During these groups there always opportunities for talk to our volunteers for advice or just a friendly face to catch up with.

Upper Room XL meets Thursdays 7.30pm-9.30pm for young people in school years 10-13

Upper Room Fridays meets Fridays 7.30pm-9.30pm for young people in school years 7-9 (50p entrance)

Both groups have a tuck shop and also have the opportunities to be a part of something bigger than just our own world with exploration to raise money and awareness for the chosen charity.

Most Sundays throughout the year there is opportunity to take time out from the normal church service and meet with other young people for discussion, reflection and fun based upon relevant topics.

All our groups are over seen by our youth worker Fiona Williams and volunteers from Cairns Road Baptist Church who have been CRB checked.
